Moving on to #2: My post to comment ratio is looking quite abysmal! I have averaged less than 1 comment per post in the last 6 months, that’s 0.66 comments per post to be exact; which is 2/3 if you’re talking fractions.
Reason #3: I calculate my comment to post ratio, and “talk fractions”, and kind of want to make a graph and PowerPoint presentation to compliment my fractions and their ratios.
Reason 4: Whilst making my graph I couldn’t decide what should be my independent and dependant variable. I mean, is posting directly proportional to the number of comments I receive, or is the reverse accurate? Does the number of posts depend directly on the number of comments? Or perhaps, it’s not so much the quantity of posts and comments, but the quality, substance, and hilarity of said measures. Or even yet, are the two variable unrelated entirely? Oh the complexities of the post to comment ratio persist!
Reason #5: After almost 4 years of serving in the primary the powers that be have seen fit to let me graduate into young women’s. Most of you would probably be relieved, but, the truth is I don’t really know how to relate to girls. Here’s why:
a) I grew up with 4 brothers
b) I live with a boy
c) I can relate to sunbeams (I teach high school- remember)
d) I have an extremely low tolerance for drama
All bets aside, I am really looking forward to working with the Beehives- all 3 of them! They can read, sit still for 45 min, and refer to me as “Sister Zamora” instead of “sisser ahh-mow-ah”.
Reason #6: It’s winter! How can I type when my hands are forever confined to these?
Not to be confused with the ever stylish and timeless smittens. Natalie, these babies can be yours for the low low price of a wedding date- just say the word!
Well, there you have it; so again, I solicit Confucius meets Shoeless Joe and implore, if I post it, will they comment? Only time will tell… and my graph…embedded in my PowerPoint presentation, complete with sound and graphics.

Girl I love your blog. I will try to comment more. I get gitty when you comment. And your post about graphs was hilarious. Loved it.
Carly! I love your posts! Keep them up and I will comment every time. BTW you will love YW. It is the greatest!
"If you build it, they will come." :) I have a confession. I read your blog ALL THE TIME, but I rarely leave comments...my bad. I miss you though girl! I want you to meet my little man!
Ah smittens. The one gift that says "I'm affectionate, classy and stylish" all at once.
Congrats on the graduation to YW...although I would imagine that it is much harder to justify fishy crackers and jellybeans when you're with teenagers. Also, this means you get to go back to mutual! And if you are really lucky, girls camp. AND you can relive your glory days of braces, awkward teenage angst and the hours of talking about who likes which boy and how that totally makes him off-limits to other girls liking him because obviously you liked him first so he is yours according to the rules of teenage-dom. Sadly, I think passing notes has become obsolete what with texting (a lost art form if you ask me!) But maybe you could give a lesson on the intricacies of stick-figure correspondence?
Wow. Oh. Wow. Those timeless mittens are better than fantastic. How do you pass them up?!?!?
You are a crack up. I think we need a reunion soon. Yes? NO?
I have been laughing my head off at this post. I LOVE IT! You are such an amazing writer--you have mastered the writing trait of VOICE. I wish I could do the same. : ) I think that across the board, people have been facebooking more than blogging lately...at least that's been the case in my life, but I still miss the comments on my blog, too. I used to get so many more...oh, yeah, it was also 2 whole MONTHS since I updated my blog, too. *sigh*
Carly,
You are the greatest! I love all of your posts and will comment more just so we can prove your graph wrong. :) lol Have a good week!
